I love Halloween...I think it's fantastic that there is a day when you can wear pretty much ANYTHING in public and get away with it! Two of my very favorite co-workers and I made our Halloween costumes this year and wore them to work. The picture is pretty self explanatory...

Yesterday I volunteered as a Poll Worker and had a GREAT time!

It was a long day, we had to be there at 5:30am and left around 9:00pm but the energy was so invigorating! It made me miss DC...a lot! There were several 18-21 year olds voting for the first time...they were so thrilled to be part of the electoral process. There were also a few kids who came in specially to watch their parents vote...they felt privileged just to watch someone voting. It gives me great hope in the future of our country to see that kind of excitement about the democratic process!
Whether you voted for McCain or Obama...yesterday was a monumental, historic, and exciting day for our country. As I watched McCains concession speech and Obama's acceptance speech I couldn't stop myself from tearing up...I felt overwhelmingly proud and lucky to be live in a country where we, as citizens, get to choose our leader.
